Lovingly restored by the Kaemingks, this 1907 cottage offers a quiet sense of luxury while capturing the rich history and spirit of Oregon wine country. FAQs

The Country House is located in the Red Hills of Dundee, Oregon and a little less than an hour from Portland. We are about a 10 minute drive from Newberg, 12 minutes from Carlton and 20 minutes from McMinnville, Oregon.
We love animals and have pets of our own but unfortunately do not allow pets at our properties.
Being in Dundee Hills AVA we are extremely lucky to be located on one of the most popular and scenic wine routes in the area. With over two dozen wineries within 5 minutes drive, there is no shortage of wineries nearby, even a few within walking distance! If you are to drive a little further, that number goes up exponentially. The real question is, do you have enough time?
While we are definitely located in the countryside, a four wheel drive vehicle is not necessary. There is a paved and well maintained road right to the house. We do have a gravel parking pad, which is compacted and easy to navigate for any vehicle.
While we try to accommodate every guest as much as possible, we cannot guarantee early check-ins or late check-outs. Early check-ins are more possible, while late check-outs are not since we are at the mercy of our cleaning crew who arrives promptly at 10am to begin turnover.
We gladly welcome photoshoots and video shoots but require that you contact us directly as there are different fees, rules and liabilities involved.
We accommodate gatherings, retreats, special occasions, etc. on a case by case basis. Please contact us regarding your occasion and we can see if it’s a good fit for the Country House. Separate fees, rules and liabilities apply.
