Kaemingk Collection. A New Era.
It feels interesting to be sitting here writing a blog post. For those of you who followed the old blog from back in the day, it seems we have taken quite the hiatus but I am eager and happy to be sitting here again. I feel in some ways we have come full circle but don’t get me wrong, life has changed! For those of you who have followed our journey, welcome back! For those who are new and joining us, let’s start here…
These past several years we have been running around, building a design company from the ground up. It has been an insanely gratifying ride, and we’ve been blessed with some of the best clients and projects brought our way. Take a look at our newly updated portfolio, we’re excited to finally show off some projects that have been done for YEARS. Yes, there are definitely still some iPhone photos in the mix but we do our best.
Along with the design biz we have taken on some monstrous personal projects. We designed and built an ADU on our personal property from the ground up and eventually launched our first short term rental in 2019, The Green Door. We caught the bug and purchased a second property in the Willamette Valley in 2022. In classic Kaemingk fashion, it had been sitting vacant for decades and needed loads of work and love. It took us a full two years to lift it up and we were able to launch our second rental, the Country House in June of 2024. During that time, we also partnered and consulted on the cutest and quaint third rental in Ferndale, WA just north of Bellingham. We launched Cobblestone Cottage in November of 2024. Since launching the three properties, we have been dreaming about what’s next for our business, we love design…we love hospitality…we love to reinvent and grow. With that, Kaemingk Collection was born. A new place where all of our passions and projects can live and grow together. A collection of homes, designs, objects, stories…you name it, this will be the place to take a deeper look into our world and our minds.
We are excited for this new era and it feels extremely rewarding to be able to put it out into the world and share the journey. Thank you for following along!
